I am not a good photographer, but you can see that Tübingen is quite beautiful place. I have been to few small-scale concert as you can see in the pics, it might not be good for everybody, but still you will find all the joy from there.

The above quote is a motivation for me which was achieved through the support by Erasmus+ scheme via my home institution.
It was a great privilege to partake in this learning and training phase. This learning was beyond professional growth and development but included social and psychological development.
I enjoyed and appreciate every bit of this training ( ranging from the host institution to relationships with workers and locals).

The apartment/room search in Barcelona can be quite challenging. That’s why I decided to give you some tips on what I think is the easiest and most efficient way to find a room.
First of all you should know more or less the area you are going to do the Erasmus so you can find an apartment close to where you will study/work. It’s not crucial but it’s going to make your afternoons way easier in the future, especially in summer (the metros can be quite full) and with the crazy working schedule. However, even if you live in the ares that are further from the center, you will need max. 20-30mins with metro.
The second thing you should know is that the rooms are quite expensive. The usual price is between 350-500€ in the central areas. If you would like to find something cheaper 200-350€ you can search in the areas like Badalona or L’Hospitalet de Llobregat if you don’t mind the transportation you will need to do every day (up to 40mins).
The third step is to see the websites. Most of them are in Spanish, but you can find some of them also in English. I would recommend, that when you are going to write for the visit of the room you write in Spanish, because you will have more possibilities to get it. You need to have in mind that the demand to get a room is really high so you will need to visit it and choose it very fast (probably the same day or even at the end of the visit). Be prepared to have enough money to pay for 2 months rent in advance and the current one. The websites that I found very useful are:
1. Badi / badi.com : This app is a great way to find good roommates and has quite low prices in comparison to other apps/websites
2. Spot a home / spotahome.com : This website has some good offers and it’s basically an agency aimed to students. The website is in English as well as the workers speak in English too.
3. Idealista / idealista.com : This one can be quite challenging because is one of the most used websites to find rooms and apartments, but with a bit of patience and a good Spanish you can get a great deal.

Last year I had the opportunity as a Ph.D. student to visit the University of Bologna for two times. First time I went as ERASMUS staff member and stayed there for two weeks. It was a start of a fruitful collaboration. Staff at Laboratory of computational mechanics welcomed me really nice and advised me with for future work. The second time I came as an exchange student and stayed for 6 months. It was very productive time and it helped my studies a lot. The overall experience I gained in this time is priceless. People I’ve met and worked with are really nice, friendly and helpful. Beside that, I had the opportunity to live in and feel the spirit of Bologna, the lively historical town full of students.
I would recommend to everyone who has the opportunity to take a part in Erasmus mobility program, as the experiences gained abroad are really of great value.
In the end I would like to thank to Erasmus+ programme, International office and Center for atmospheric research at the UNG for this opportunity and great experience.

If you are planning to go on Erasmus+ in Barcelona, this is the post for you! I had a wonderful opportunity to take a part in the Erasmus+ program at University of Barcelona.
I found the UB faculty friendly, helpful and have been enjoying my courses there. But, be ready for administration! The university staff is so busy and not well organized… so, prepare yourself to be patient with all kind of administration.
In general, it’s been an inspiring experience to be at UB and great enjoyment to be in Barcelona and its surrounding. Near the sea and always sunny! A lot of tourist attractions and places to visit in the city and nearby. Very good connections, so it’s easy to get any place around Barcelona. The people are friendly and very open-minded. The city is multi-cultural, you can find a mixture of all races and backgrounds. There are events, shops, restaurants suitable for everyone. Any time you go there, you will definitely enjoy Barcelona atmosphere!
I would recommend Barcelona to anyone considering the Erasmus+ program, internship or even just a short holiday. It’s an enjoyable experience, but I must say that life in Barcelona is a bit expensive, especially accommodation, so, have your savings on the side.
